311 Biography

311
Affectionately known as the Blue Album, 311’s self-titled album became the first to go platinum and crossed the barrier into multi-platinum.

311 became the bands first album to reach the Top 10 charts, with Down becoming #1 on the singles charts.

This opened many doors for 311, including talk show appearances, international touring, and fulfilling the band’s dream of performing at Red Rocks.

Words From The Band

“We decided to call our new release 311 because we fill it’s the best example of who we are as a band, and how we’ve evolved into a whole. The life-affirming element that came out of the RV Fire is that we realized all we really needed was what we still had: the songs in our heads and each other.” Nick Hexum, 1995, Capricorn Press Release.
